The SouthKey masterplan comprises of 300 acres of mixed use development, masterplanned by COX Architects. We were handed Precinct 2A, which is the 9 acre site currently under development. P2A contains 128 shop offices located across 5 Blocks, all ranging from 3-4 storeys and an 8 storey tower block in the corner. With the overall design stages completed, my role was to deal with tackling the on-site issues as they occurred, and if necessary, adjust or redesign elements to keep the overall aesthetic in place while resolving the outstanding issues.
This precinct, which has a contract sum of RM 111M (£23.5m) is currently due to be completed in October 2013.
